Chief Minister Dr. Raman Singh today said that Chhattisgarh State Pandit Deendayal Upadhyaya was great thinker, writer, journalist and Integrated humanist. He dedicated his entire life in serving the humanity. The great thinker stressed on integrated humanism in which human beings lived in harmony with nature and surroundings. Pandit Deendayal preached ‘Antyodaya’-serving the last man in the queue. Chief Minister wished the citizens of the State on Pandit Deendayal Upadhyaya Jayanti. Dr. Raman Singh said that it was a matter of pride that in Chhattisgarh State the dreams of Pandit ‘Antyodaya’ is becoming a reality. Under the dynamic leadership of Prime Minister Mr. Narendra Modi , the State Government had been following the ideals of Pandit Deendayal. The authorities are providing health, education, electricity, roads’ connectivity, drinking water, irrigation, employment training and other infrastructure facilities. Spectacular development had taken place in the last 13 years. Chief Minister said that farmers are being provided with loans at nominal rates of interest. An amount of Rs 2100 crore bonus will be distributed as bonus to farmers soon. About four lakh farmers are being provided with free electricity under the Krushak Jeewan Jyoti Yojana. Chhattisgarh is the first to become ‘electricity cuts-free’ in the entire country in 2008. Food Security Act had been implemented in the State. Fifty-eight lakh poor families are being provided with seven kilogram rice per head at Re 1 a kilogram every month. Health Insurance Scheme will be provided from 1 October up to a ceiling of Rs Fifty thousand.
