Raipur, 24 July 2017, Chief Minister Dr. Raman Singh today presided over a Cabinet meeting at Mantralaya in which several important decisions were taken.
- State General Provident Fund and Contributory Provident Fund subscribers will get interest rate of 7.8 per cent for the period 01 July 2017-30 September 2017. Union Government has fixed 7.8 per cent rate of interest on General Provident Fund and other funds. The Cabinet meeting decided to empower the Finance Department to fix the same rate of interest as announced by the Union Government.
- The Cabinet decided to delete the Suth Sarati-Sahis/Sahees castes from the category 65 of the Backward Castes as per the recommendations of the State Backward Castes Commission.
- The Cabinet approved the following Bills :
- Chhattisgarh Destitute and Poor Persons’ Assistance Act 1970, Amended bill of 2010.
- Chhattisgarh Nagarpalika (Amended) bill 2017
- Chhattisgarh Excise (Amended) bill 2017
- GST Bill on Chhattisgarh VAT Bill
- Chhattisgarh Shops and Establishment Bill 2017
- Chhattisgarh Industrial Planning (permanent order) Bill 2017.
- Chhattisgarh Labour Laws (Amended) and Case provision Bill 2017
- First Budget estimates year 2017-2018 of Chhattisgarh Investors’ Bill (Amended) 2017.
